Russell Bynum is President/Creative Director of Bynums Marketing & Communications, Inc. Along with wife Kathy, Russell leads this 40-year-old advertising and public relations agency that specializes in helping organizations reach out to youth, seniors, families, African Americans, and ethno-diverse populations. Russell oversees branding and design work, coordinates creative services, and assists clients with crisis public relations. Russell has helped companies across numerous industries – from banking to aviation.
With over 45 years of experience, Russell is known for infusing established companies with new, profit-generating ideas and helping new organizations emerge successfully. He has consulted for companies such as UPMC Health Plan, Capital Blue Cross, American Eagle Outfitters and others. Clients trust Russell to enliven their brands and provide marketing solutions.
Beyond the workplace, Russell is as Deputy Executive Director of FLM Haiti. Trustee at Harty Bible School. Russell has served on numerous boards including the African American Council on the Arts, Daniel’s Den (a cancer outreach ministry) the Pittsburgh Advertising Federation, and others. Russell is the Sunday School Superintendent of Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, and he is ordained as a local deacon in the A.M.E. Church.
